- Home address
- Work address
- Speaker biography — write this in third person and include your credentials, years of experience, areas of expertise, and any notable speaking history. This appears in the conference program if your session is accepted.

Step 5 — Add your sessions and mark them as Ready
Step 5 — Add your sessions and mark them as Ready
Click Sessions in the main navigation, then click Add a New Session. Give your session a name and fill in all fields:
Session content
- Description / Abstract — a clear summary of what your session covers and why it matters to EMS professionals. Be specific.
- Learning objectives — you must include at least 3. Each should start with an action verb (e.g., "Identify," "Demonstrate," "Explain") and describe a measurable outcome attendees will achieve.
Session logistics
- Presentation level — Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced
- Topic category — choose the best fit for your content
- Presentation type — lecture, workshop, hands-on, panel, etc.
- Class length — how long your session will run
- Capacity limit (if applicable) — maximum number of attendees your session can accommodate
- Co-presenters (if applicable) — if someone else will be presenting with you, add them here. Please also provide their contact information.
Supply and AV requirements
- Every room comes standard with one table at the front, a projector, a clicker, and a flipchart with markers. Only list supplies beyond what is already provided.
- Examples of additional supplies: manikins, disposable equipment, additional tables, whiteboards, etc.
- If you need nothing extra, leave blank
Ethical Standards
Please note that presenters are not permitted to use their platform to market, endorse, or promote the sale of market products or services. All classes we accept for our annual conferences must be educational, specific to EMS providers, and free from bias. We accredit all courses through CAPCE and speakers are not allowed to promote the use of a specific market product or service in their educational content.
When all fields are complete, save the session using the status Mark as Ready. This makes it available to submit. You can create as many sessions as you like and mark them all as Ready before submitting anything — we recommend doing this so you can submit everything to WEMSA at once in the next step.
Step 6 — Submit all your sessions at once
Step 6 — Submit all your sessions at once
Once all your sessions are marked as Ready, navigate to the 2027 WEMSA Call for Speakers section inside the portal. Click Submit a Session — all of your Mark as Ready sessions will be listed and you can submit them all in one visit.
For each session, you will be asked to include:
- Speaking fees (if applicable)
- Honorarium requests (if applicable)
- Travel and/or lodging reimbursement needs (if applicable)
Fill this in honestly and completely — the education committee reviews these requests as part of the selection process. If you are not requesting any compensation, simply indicate that no fees or reimbursement are needed.
Once submitted, you will see a confirmation and your sessions will appear in your submitted sessions list. The education committee will review and score all submissions individually and notify you of their decision by August 2026.
Focus on quality. There is no limit on the number of sessions you can submit, but each one is reviewed and scored individually. Well-written descriptions and strong, specific learning objectives give your submission the best chance of being selected.
