John Paul “JP” Velasco, BSN, RN, NRP, CEN is a healthcare professional with over 16 years of experience spanning clinical practice, academic instruction, and specialized cardiac care. Currently serving as a Cardiac Device Nurse at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wisconsin, John Paul is a recognized strong contributor in cardiac device management, electrophysiology, and remote patient monitoring. His expertise with major cardiac device platforms—including Abbott, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, and Biotronik—has directly contributed to improved patient outcomes and streamlined clinical workflows.
In addition to his clinical role, JP is a dedicated educator. He has served as an adjunct EMS instructor at Mid-State Technical College since 2016, where he mentors future paramedics in both theoretical and practical settings.
