Description
It's always the same thing when hearing clinicians talk about difficult airways - "We got it on the first try." Too often, a successful airway is defined by first pass success with an endotracheal tube which doesn't always correlate with what really matters - the patient walking out of the hospital alive. With different airway management devices as medications which can serve as adjuncts to airway management, how do you determine the best strategy for your patient? This talk will challenge EMS clinicians to re-think their definition of a successful airway from "first pass success" to "our airway improved our outcome".
