Description
Pediatric pain is one of the most underrecognized, assessed, and treated symptoms in all of prehospital medicine. Join me for this session where we will talk all about pediatrics, pediatric readiness, and the recognition, assessment, and treatment of pediatric pain. We spend a vast majority of our careers fearing pediatric patients and there are many reasons for this. We will uncover the pitfalls of why we fail to treat pediatric pain and we will discuss the modalities of treatment from non-pharmacologic to pharmacologic. Let’s collaborate and become more comfortable with pediatric pain so that our most vulnerable patient population gets what they need and deserve.
