Justin Behlke is a fourth-year medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin pursuing a career in emergency medicine. Before medical school, he spent a decade working as a chef and nonprofit leader in Chicago, including serving as President and CEO of Chicago Street Medicine. His work has centered on caring for underserved communities, medical education, and addressing the social factors that shape health. At MCW, he has continued this commitment through leadership in street medicine and emergency medicine, community-engaged research, and medical student mentorship. He is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and hopes to build a career in emergency medicine that combines acute care, education, and population health.
