Speaker Bio
Cody Spaulding, widely known as The Salty Paramedic, is a firefighter/paramedic, author, speaker, podcaster, and content creator with nearly two decades of experience in fire and EMS.

Drawing from years on the front lines, Cody combines real-world experience, humor, and an unfiltered perspective to tackle some of the most important issues facing first responders today. He is the author of Don't Lose Yourself: A First Responder's Mental Health Playbook, a practical and relatable guide focused on helping first responders recognize the impact the job can have on their mental health, relationships, and identity—and learn how to build a life and career that are sustainable for the long haul.

Through his social media platform, The Salty Paramedic, Cody has built a large community by finding humor in the realities of emergency services while also creating space for honest conversations about mental health, burnout, family, leadership, and life behind the uniform.

Cody is also the host of the Just a Little Salt podcast, where he sits down with guests from across fire, EMS, healthcare, entertainment, and beyond for conversations ranging from hilarious stories to the difficult topics often left unspoken.

As a speaker, Cody brings the same authenticity and humor that built his online following to the stage. His flagship presentation, Don't Lose Yourself, challenges first responders to take care of the person underneath the uniform—not just for their careers, but for themselves and the people waiting for them at home.
