Dr. Nicholas Genthe is an emergency medicine physician with UW Health and the BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine, where he practices in both the emergency department and as a flight physician with UW Med Flight. He is dual board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services.
Dr. Genthe serves as EMS Medical Director for District One EMS in Dane County and is a member of the UW ALS EMS Consortium, where he oversees prehospital protocols, quality improvement, and clinical education across the system. He is actively involved in graduate medical education, including the development of a dedicated prehospital track curriculum for emergency medicine residents, and his academic work spans EMS systems design, pediatric prehospital care, and prehospital research. He lives near Cross Plains, Wisconsin with his wife and two boys.
