Over the past ten years, I have had the privilege of serving as the Lead Paramedic Instructor and Program Director at Mid-State Technical College. In addition to my leadership within the Paramedic Program, I contribute to the Critical Care Program by teaching select modules and provide ongoing guidance and support to EMT and AEMT students. Over the past year, I also developed an Instructor Fellowship Program designed to enhance the preparation of future EMS educators, with a focus on effective classroom instruction and simulation-based learning.

In parallel with my academic role, I serve as Assistant Chief for Ripon Guardian Ambulance Service, which allows me to maintain clinical proficiency while actively serving the community. Since 2017, I have held the role of Training Officer, where I established a formal training committee, implemented a structured onboarding process for new hires, and developed a comprehensive quality assurance and quality improvement (QA/QI) program.

In recent years, I have had the opportunity to contribute to several significant statewide initiatives. In 2019, I participated in the update of the Wisconsin Technical College System Standards and Procedures Manual. Following this work, I contributed to the EMT Out-of-Hospital Scenario Testing Project, which transitioned the assessment model from six skills-based stations to three scenario-based stations. Most recently, I have been involved in ongoing curriculum updates for EMR, EMT, and AEMT programs. Additionally, I serve quarterly on the EMS System Management and Development Subcommittee for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

My contributions across education, service, and system development were recognized in 2021 with the American Ambulance Association 40 Under 40 Award.
