Call For Abstracts

WEMSA® 2020

We are currently accepting session proposals for our upcoming WEMSA 2020 Conference, scheduled for November 11th - 15th, 2020, at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. 
 
The Wisconsin EMS Association (WEMSA®) is a leader in cutting-edge EMS education. We seek out timely, progressive, educationally-sound topics that empower insight and engage our EMS providers. We want hands-on, thought-provoking interactive lectures. We want leaders in Airway Management, EMS POCUS, Trauma, Provider Safety, ECMO, PTSD, CISM, Fire Attack/Behavior, Pediatric Emergencies, Community Paramedicine, and Leadership. 

We follow the NCCP Model for Continuing Education.

We are accepting single speaker submissions, group presentations, and panel discussions. Speakers are encouraged to submit multiple (up to 5) course abstracts, group or panel abstracts for consideration. Selected speakers will typically present more than one course.


Wednesday and Thursday Pre-Conference Workshops can be 2.0 hours, 4.0 hours (Half Day) or 8.0 hours (Full Day). Friday and Saturday Track Session courses will run 60 minutes in length, including Q&A. Please indicate on your abstract what timeframe your submission is for.


Friday and Saturday Keynote presentations will be considered. We are looking for dynamic, engaging, thought-provoking and resounding presentations. Please identify your submission as keynote if you are submitting for those presentations.


Checklist for all Submissions:

  • CV/ Resume

  • Headshot photo (Minimum 300 x 300 - this will be used on our website and promo materials)

  • Brief bio statement (Describing your experience and education in EMS - this will be used on our website and promo materials)

  • Course abstract

  • 3-5 Course objectives​

  • Course supply/materials request 

  • The names and post-nominals of each speaker


Submit your presentation(s) by logging in and creating an account by March 15th, 2020, at 11:59 PM CST via this submission site. You will receive an e-mail notification of the decision on or before April 15th, 2020. A separate signed MOU/speaker agreement will be required if your submission is selected for our conference.

Submissions are due by March 15th, 2020.

We recommend your submission (title and description) is intriguing and eye-catching for a better chance of being selected.
