BRIAN DONALDSON

Friday November 15th
EMS/Fire The Grand Illusion

This class will explore physician and nurse volunteerism in emergency departments and operating rooms across the U.S. OK, not really, but now that we have your attention, let’s talk about volunteerism, funding challenges, identity crises, and some other fun stuff related to EMS, Paramedicine, mobile healthcare, and out-of-hospital care along with the fire services. And, let’s lead the discussion with a panel consisting of an old manager medic, a rural healthcare expert, and a provider/manager from a socialist healthcare system. What they have in common is a desire to find solutions to our current challenges and they bring some interesting perspectives along with them.

Saturday November 16th
It Seemed Like A Good Idea at the Time

If you’ve been involved in the business of EMS for even a short time, you’ve seen some interesting changes. In fact, the longer you’ve been in the business, the more changes you’ve witnessed. And, the changes keep coming faster and more furious all of the time. Join us for a discussion ranging from immobilization to supplemental oxygen and everything in between. Fasten your seatbelts and hold on for this ride through time, as this session promises to be a fun exchange of information.
